Dane Swan was Collingwood’s ninth player to receive the Charlie with Nathan Buckley the most recent in 2003.

Dane Swan has polled 58 votes in his last two seasons (av. 1.3 points per game) and 113 votes over his last six seasons.

Chris Judd once again polled three votes in Carlton’s (round 17) 19-point loss to Collingwood.  Judd had 35 possessions but used it at 57.1 per cent efficiency while Swan polled one vote with 31 touches at 77.4 per cent.

Swan was deemed second best on ground behind Pendlebury in the opening round of the season.  The Brownlow Medallist racked up 34 disposals and three goals while Pendlebury had 32 touches and was held scoreless.

Travis Cloke doubled his career Brownlow vote tally to 26.  He polled just three votes in his 2007 Copeland Trophy season.

Prior to last night, Chris Tarrant last polled a Brownlow vote in round 16, 2006 against West Coast with 19 disposals, 11 marks and four goals.

Harry Collier was the last Magpie to win the Brownlow Medal and a Premiership in the same season (1930).
