If you have attended a Collingwood home match at the MCG this season, there is no doubt you would have heard ‘Superstar’ by Gasoline Inc. coming in over the stadium sound system.
In season 2010, CTV has utilised the hit track, tying it in with highlights shown on the big screen during Magpie home matches at the MCG.
‘Superstar’ is written and performed by Gabriel O’Brien, Harry O’Brien’s brother, and has been adopted as the song that gets the fans and players pumped up before the game begins.
The Western Australian-based band formed in late 2008 and has found a great deal of success with the track ‘Superstar’. Network 10 featured the single in its AFL grand final coverage in 2009.
The band has recently released its first music video starring Gabriel and Harry.
