Pendlebury to miss Melbourne
Vice-captain Scott Pendlebury will miss next Monday's Queen's Birthday clash with Melbourne due to a cracked tibia.
Pendlebury suffered what Walsh said was minor crack in his tibia in a collision with Gold Coast player Josh Caddy early in the opening term of the match against the Suns on Sunday evening.
"Scott Pendlebury had a scan this morning and that's revealed a slight crack to the top of his tibia," Walsh said.

"He certainly won't play this week and we'll put him on crutches for 3-4 days so that reduces the weight-bearing issue. We've got a bye the following week so our medical team will reassess it after that.

"In the scheme of things, it's a minor injury but he certainly wouldn't play this week and the fact that we've got a bye the following week is probably opportune because he wouldn't get up the following week.
"Beyond that, we're pretty confident that he'll get up probably for the third game."
While Pendlebury played out the remainder of the first half, with the match in Collingwood’s control he was substituted out of the match at half-time as a precaution.

The loss of Pendlebury is off set by the likely return of midfield gun Dane Swan who has missed the past fortnight due to a hamstring injury.
Chris Tarrant, another star returning from injury, played his second VFL match since sustaining a calf injury in round two. Walsh said that Tarrant had pulled up well from the VFL team's loss to Werribee.
"He pulled up OK, so Chris will be forcing his claims for senior selection. He got through the game as well as we'd hoped."

Pendlebury’s injury continues a luckless streak for the Magpies, who have built themselves a strong position in the top four despite the absences of a raft of senior players.
