Collingwood has landed another young prospect during trade week by securing indigenous Queenslander Peter Yagmoor via a deal with the Gold Coast Suns.

The Magpies have traded pick 47 to the Suns in exchange for Yagmoor and pick 50.

Yagmoor, who turns 18 on Thursday, was pre-listed by the Suns as one of the club’s Queensland zone selections.

Originally from Cairns, Yagmoor is an athletic 181-centimetre, 83-kilogram prospect who has an excellent left-foot kick and spent last pre-season training with the Suns.

He moved to Brisbane on a Michael Voss/AFLQ Scholarship in 2008 to finish his schooling at St Peters College, and toured South Africa with the Indigenous All-Stars in 2007.

The trade follows the acquisition of former Magpie Martin Clarke and 19-year-old forward Jamie Elliott through a deal with Greater Western Sydney, in exchange for pick 25, last week.

The club will provide more information later today on collingwoodfc.com.au through an interview with National Recruiting Manager Derek Hine.
