The entire Collingwood team will walk the first 15 minutes of Make-A-Wish® Australia's (Portland Branch) One Big Red Money Walk For Wishes on Tuesday, 24 July to help raise funds to grant the wishes of three children from South West Victoria with life-threatening medical conditions.

The team will begin the walk at The Federation Walking Track, Brooklyn at approximately 9.30am on Tuesday.

Supporters are invited to walk with the team tomorrow or to donate online at everydayhero.com.au/event/walkforwishes.

Collingwood captain Nick Maxwell has been involved with the Portland Branch of Make a Wish Australia for a number of years and has organised for the team to take part in the walk.

Maxwell encouraged fans to throw their support behind One Big Red Money Walk For Wishes.

“We would love for as many Magpie supporters as possible to come to Brooklyn and walk with us in support of this great cause.

“If you can’t make it there, please get behind One Big Red Money Walk For Wishes, and donate online at everydayhero.com.au/event/walkforwishes

The One Big Red Money Walk For Wishes was inspired by a four-year-old child diagnosed with a brain tumor, whose wish was for "one big red money (a $20 note)" to go shopping with.

The walk is now in its fourth year and goes for more than 400km from Melbourne to Portland.
