Round one (Friday 30 March - FOX/ SEVEN): Hawthorn v Collingwood, MCG (away) 7.50pm

The build up to this match will be massive after this year’s thrilling final with the Magpies turning a 17-point three quarter time deficit into a famous three-point win.  How we love Luke Ball.

Round two (Saturday 7 April - FOX/ SEVEN): Collingwood v Richmond, MCG (home) 7.40pm

The Magpies open their account at home against the Tigers, who have high expectations on 2012 success.  A bumper crowd is expected with both club’s seasons in their infancy.  Only match against the Tigers for the season.

Round three (Friday 13 April - FOX/ SEVEN): Carlton v Collingwood, MCG (away) 7.50pm

Similar fixture round to last year and let’s hope it’s the same result with the Pies 28-point victors.  We will take the points, Judd can take the three votes.

Round four
(Saturday 21 April - FOX/ SEVEN): Collingwood v Port Adelaide, Docklands (home) 2.10 pm

It’s the first of three under the roof.  The Magpies have not dropped a match to the Power since 2006. Next.

Round five (Wednesday 25 April - FOX/ SEVEN): Collingwood v Essendon, MCG (home) 2.40 pm

Buckley versus Hird.  This will receive more hype than the Queen’s trip to Australia.  Collingwood holds a nine to seven advantage including the last two on this special day.  Magpie home game will fill the seats and the coffers.  Can we crack 90,000? Last year just fell short with 89,626.

Round six (Friday 4 May - FOX/ SEVEN): Western Bulldogs v Collingwood, Docklands (away) 7.50 pm

Another intriguing coaching match up with Rocket Eade and Mitch Hahn now in black and white taking on the club over the Westgate.  Second match in three weeks under the roof.

Round seven (Saturday 12 May - FOX): Brisbane Lions v Collingwood, Gabba (away) 7.40 pm

Round eight (Friday 18 May - FOX/ SEVEN): Collingwood v Geelong, MCG (home) 7.50 pm

Back at the MCG under the lights looking for revenge.  Prove to be a good gauge heading into the middle stage of the season.  This match up is turning into the biggest rivalry in the country.

Round nine (Saturday 26 May - FOX): Adelaide Crows v Collingwood, AAMI Stadium (away) 7.10 pm

Headed into the fourth quarter against the Crows last year and up by seven points, the Magpies pilled on 11 unanswered majors to win in style.  Collingwood has not dropped a game at AAMI in its last seven. Trend to continue one would say.

Round 10 (Sunday 3 June - FOX): Collingwood v Gold Coast Suns, MCG (home) 4.40 pm

A chance for the Army to see Ablett up close after last year’s encounter occurred in the north.  Hopefully the previews are focused on, ‘by how much?’

Round 11 (Monday 11 June - FOX/ SEVEN): Melbourne v Collingwood, MCG (away) 3.15 pm

After two tight tussles in 2010 with one resulting in a draw, Travis Cloke booted six and Sharrod Wellingham stepped up in the absence of Dane Swan for a well-earned 88 point win on the Queen’s Birthday. Final game before the bye weekend for the Magpies so expect the players to go hard for four quarters.

Former assistants now foes.  Buckley against Watters.  Would think the Saints should have a strong understanding of the Magpie game plan.
Recent record: WWWDWL

Round 20 (Saturday 11 August - FOX/ SEVEN): Sydney v Collingwood, ANZ Stadium (away) 7.40 pm

They should look at renaming ANZ the MCG.  Six straight wins at the ground and aiming for an 11th consecutive win against the side.
