Tarrant returns
Jarryd Blair says Chris Tarrant could be used up forward against Geelong after the Pies had just six goalkickers last week
Tarrant, 31, has been named to face Geelong in what will be just his third senior game for the season.
The Pies kicked their equal lowest score for the season - 62 points - in last week's 23-point loss to Carlton, spread across just six goal kickers.
Against West Coast in round 13, they had just four players find the big sticks.
Blair said Tarrant, who is returning from shoulder soreness and kicked four goals in the VFL last weekend, could certainly shake things up if he lined up in attack.
"I think he's proven himself to be able to kick a few goals down there," Blair said on Friday.
"It would be pretty exciting if he did go down there.
"I think a lot of the Pies' supporters would love to see him back forward and maybe take a few big grabs.
"I think he's pretty excited. I haven't spoken to him too much about [playing again] but everyone at the club wants to play senior footy and he's no different.
"He'd be pretty excited to be back in."
Scott Pendlebury has been named after missing four games with a fractured leg while Nathan Brown returns after being withdrawn from the side for structural reasons last week.
Dale Thomas has also been named - and trained on Friday - despite bruising his foot against the Blues and requiring a moon boot over the weekend.
"To have those blokes back in is pretty important to us," Blair said.
"'Pendles' has had a month and a half off and 'Taz' has missed a fair bit of the season and it's good to have 'Browny' back in the side too.
"He gets a job and he gets the job done, so it's good to have all three of those blokes back."
Blair will play his 50th AFL game against the Cats as one of three players celebrating milestone matches.
Defenders Harry O'Brien (150 games) and Alan Toovey (100) will also rack up landmark games.
Blair's journey to 50 games has been well documented, with the former Gippsland Power co-captain rising from the rookie list to premiership player in the space of 13 weeks in 2010.
"It's been a pretty fun 50 so far and hopefully there's many more to go," he said.
