Collingwood’s depth will be bolstered this weekend should it regain the services of injured veterans Quinten Lynch and Alan Didak.

The pair will undergo fitness tests later this week to determine whether they have overcome their respective ailments.

Lynch has not played since a back injury forced him onto the sidelines after the loss to Port Adelaide in round 14.

As for Didak, he has not played any football since gathering 25 possessions against Melbourne on the Queen’s Birthday last month.

He has since struggled with a calf injury but is now on the verge of a return to the field, provided he passes his fitness test later this week.

The news isn’t as good for Clinton Young. Sadly for the ex-Hawk, he will be sidelined indefinitely after injuring his hamstring with only 27 seconds remaining in last Friday’s match against Adelaide.

Young was playing only his second senior game for the Magpies after enduring a horrible first half of the season that was marked by persistent hamstring issues.

Knee victims Jack Frost and Darren Jolly remain 1-2 and 3-4 weeks away respectively.
