Two Collingwood players have made their move in the AFL Coaches Association Champion Player of the Year Award following their side's 34-point win over Richmond.

Travis Cloke was again voted Collingwood's best player by the two coaches, receiving five votes from both Nathan Buckley and Damien Hardwick for his seven goals, 14 marks and 20 disposals.

Hot on his heels was Steele Sidebottom who earned four votes from each coach after kicking four goals and gathering 21 possessions. Sidebottom's four goals was the most he has scored in a game since round 16, 2011, when the Magpies smashed North Melbourne at the MCG.

Despite Cloke enjoying a big two weeks, it is Sidebottom who has shot to the top of his club's AFLCA leaderboard after four rounds.

He has polled 15 votes in three of his four games, with six coming against North Melbourne in round one, one against Carlton the following week and a season-high eight against the Tigers on Saturday.

Although he is so far averaging six disposals less than what he did in 2012, he is averaging two goals per game for the first time in his career and has had 12 scoring shots for the year.

Cloke is only one vote behind Sidebottom and has clearly been Collingwood's standout performer over the course of the past two weeks.

He kicked a combined total of 12 goals and five behinds and took 26 marks in rounds three and four.

To put that into perspective, Cloke was only able to register double-figure mark tallies last year on two occasions but was able to do so nine times in his All-Australian year of 2011.

With 16 goals in four rounds, Cloke heads the race for the Coleman Medal (alongside North Melbourne's Lindsay Thomas). He kicked his 16th goal in round seven last year and in round six the previous year.

Other Magpies to poll votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award on the weekend were Dane Swan (six), Quinten Lynch (three), Harry O'Brien (two) and Ben Hudson (one).

Amazingly, Swan's six votes are his first for the season despite winning more than 26 possessions in each of his first three games.

Lynch and O'Brien have now polled twice. Hudson's vote is a small reward for his excellent start to his Collingwood career. The 34-year-old has won 45 hitouts in his two games and is averaging 4.5 clearances per game.

He also laid five tackles in the win over Richmond, underlining his ability to act as an extra midfielder once the ball hits the ground.

Essendon's Jobe Watson and Port Adelaide's Justin Westhoff lead the competition with 27 votes. Geelong captain Joel Selwood is next in line with 23.
