Collingwood’s 2014 Australia Post AFL Community Camp will be held in Kinglake, with the entire team and coaching staff set to visit the North-Eastern Victorian town on Monday and Tuesday.

The players and coaches will spend the two days visiting a number of schools, hospitals and nursing homes in the local Kinglake community and surrounding areas.

Nick Maxwell said the Community Camps always provided a great opportunity for the players to spend some time in a regional area before the beginning of the season.

“We are very fortunate to be given some time each year to spend with our supporters and to meet people in regional areas who may not be able to make it to a game during the year.

“It’s great to be able to give something back to the community and we’re really looking forward to visiting the Kinglake community.

As part of the Camp this year, the players will be running a super clinic for local kids at the Kinglake football ground.

Maxwell said he hoped to see as many kids and their families as possible make it to the super clinic.

“The super clinic will be a great opportunity for the kids from Kinglake and surrounding areas to come down and have a kick with myself and the rest of the players, we would love to see as many people as possible there”.
