Blair will be available to play against St Kilda on Friday night should he lodge an early guilty plea.
If he does so, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record.
Blair was pivotal in Saturday’s win, kicking three goals from his 14 disposals and four inside 50s.
It was his greatest scoreboard impact since he bagged three goals in the loss to Hawthorn in round one, 2012.
The AFL's Match Review Panel released the following assessment of the Blair-Brown incident:
"Jarryd Blair, Collingwood, has been charged with a Level Two Striking Offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for striking Mitch Brown, West Coast, during the second quarter of the Round 10 match between Collingwood and West Coast, played at the MCG on Saturday May 24, 2014.
In summary, he can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record with an early plea.
Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the West Coast Football Club, the incident was assessed as intentional conduct (three points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two Offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 demerit points towards his future record."
