Ever wondered what it would be like to sit in the Collingwood stats box at the MCG on a match day?
Thanks to the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, this exclusive opportunity will be up for grabs when Collingwood meets Adelaide in round 18.
To enter, clubs must sign the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation’s responsible gambling charter before 12pm on Monday 21 July 2014.
The winning club will get to nominate two lucky representatives to sit in the stats box for the 4.40pm game at the MCG on Sunday 27 July 2014.
The responsible gambling charter is the centrepiece of the Foundation’s Gambling’s not a Game sporting club program that aims to:
- Help clubs preserve the essence of their sport by separating gambling from sports
- Shift the focus back to the ‘love of the game’ not the odds
- Minimise exposure to gambling activities and advertising to youth under 18 years of age
- Increase awareness of the risks associated with gambling
- Help prevent problem gambling and related harm
- Raise awareness of Gambler’s Help services
- Clubs joining the program are asked to sign the responsible gambling charter as a demonstration of their commitment to taking a responsible approach to gambling.
Benefits for clubs who participate in the program include
- Free support and advice on responsible gambling practices
- Free education sessions delivered to your club
- Support to minimise the risks associated with gambling at your club
- Support to become a community leader in responsible gambling practices
- Community recognition for being a responsible gambling club
- To be eligible to enter the competition you must read and agree to implement the charter throughout the season.
