Collingwood defender Jack Frost has been elevated to the club’s primary list ahead of tomorrow night’s match against Fremantle at Etihad Stadium.
With Matthew Scharenberg, Collingwood’s first selection in the 2013 National Draft, moved to the long term injury list, strong performances across the pre-season has seen Frost named in his stead.
Director of Football Rodney Eade said Frost’s promotion to the primary list represented a deserved award for the 22-year old’s performances during the NAB Challenge.
“Jack has performed admirably against strong opponents in three matches across the pre-season, and is thoroughly deserving of his promotion to the primary list on form,” Eade said.
Recruited with the 41st pick in the 2013 Rookie Draft, Frost played two AFL matches as a nominated rookie last season before a knee injury derailed his campaign, limiting his exposure to competitive football.
