Exciting Irish rookie Caolan Mooney will miss the next two weeks due to a hamstring strain suffered in Collingwood’s win over Greater Western Sydney on Saturday.

The 19-year-old kicked the first goal of his career with one of his four disposals minutes before half time but was substituted out of the match during the break.

Mooney will now miss the club’s clashes with St Kilda and Sydney in the next fortnight.

The four premiership players who missed the trip to Western Sydney - Darren Jolly (general soreness), Harry O’Brien (groin), Steele Sidebottom (thigh) and Dale Thomas (ankle) - will all be tested this week ahead of Saturday night’s meeting with the Saints.

Meanwhile, knee victims Andrew Krakouer and Brent Macaffer are listed as tests on this week’s injury list. Both underwent surgery on their ruptured anterior cruciate ligaments in February.

Damaging defender Ben Johnson is expected to be sidelined for at least another one-to-two weeks as he recovers from shoulder surgery.

Sharrod Wellingham is set to make his return after serving his three-game suspension for a misconduct charge against Carlton's Kade Simpson in round 15.
