Collingwood regret to inform a change to fan engagement ahead of Collingwood’s AFLW round six match against the Brisbane Lions on Saturday.

With the continuing spread of the Covid-19 virus and an increase in reported cases in Melbourne in recent days, the club is seeking to preserve the health of its players, staff and members and fans who attend our events.

The spread of Covid-19 is linked to person-to-person contact or near contact with people infected with the virus. As such, interaction between players and large groups has been deemed an unacceptable risk.

As a consequence, all of our players and staff have been instructed to avoid any physical contact with fans before, during or after the match.

We trust that as a passionate Collingwood supporter who is invested in the welfare of our athletes you will understand the necessity of this precaution.
