Collingwood will kick off its AFLW 2020 season when it meets the West Coast Eagles for the first time this Sunday at Victoria Park.
With the Pies fielding a mostly young lineup, experience is expected to come through with the return of Chloe Molloy, who’s likely to make an appearance in the forward line while Brianna Davey is expected to make her Magpie debut. There could also be some draftee debuts in the mix.

The game will also mark Steve Symonds’ first official appearance as the Magpies’ coach. With a new game plan on the cards, there could also be some change up in on-field roles.
Newcomers to the competition, the Eagles will travel across the Nullarbor to make their AFLW debut.
Having poached several players from the Dockers’ list, the Eagles are not short of experience. They showed some positive signs in their recent match simulation session against their crosstown rivals. But they seemed to struggle to get in the scoreboard in their official practice match against the Tigers.
But for the Pies, all focus will be on clear entries into the their forward 50 and ensuring they capitalise on their opportunities in front of goal
They’ll also be keen to get their first round one win in the books – something they haven’t achieved over the last three seasons.
Collingwood’s side for Sunday’s game will be revealed on Thursday evening.
