Collingwood has been sanctioned $5000 by the AFL after the late lodgement of paperwork for the return of Brent Macaffer to the senior list, from the long-term injury list.

Macaffer returned to play in the state league in round 20 and his reinstatement to the list should have been lodged before that weekend of matches.

The club’s good record was taken into account when considering this was an administrative error around paperwork requirements.
