The President, Board, Staff and Members of the Collingwood Football Club would like to express their sadness at the passing of past player Don Walsh and 1989 Brownlow Medallist Paul Couch.
Recruited from Cohuna, in northern Victoria, Walsh played six games for the club between 1954 and 1955.
Couch, a 259-game champion for Geelong, had strong links to Collingwood. His sons, Tom (2011, 2014) and Joe (2014), both played for the club's VFL team. Tom is one of only three players to be drafted onto an AFL list (Melbourne) via Collingwood's VFL team.
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Walsh and Couch families.
