Taylor Adams is in the frame to return from a toe injury against his former club when Collingwood meets Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
Adams, who missed last Monday’s win against Melbourne, has battled a toe injury since originally sustaining the injury against Adelaide in round two.
Since arriving at Collingwood in the October of 2013 as a straight swap for Heath Shaw, Adams is still yet to face his former teammates.
A finger injury meant he was an absentee when the two clubs met in round 22 last season.

Adams has been named on an extended interchange bench alongside fellow inclusions Jarrod Witts and Brayden Maynard.
Witts remains in the selection mix after he was a late withdrawal ahead of the clash with the Demons owing to soreness.
Maynard, meanwhile, has been a senior emergency in three of the past four games. The youngest of Collingwood’s 45 players, he is yet to make his senior debut.
The 25-man squad will be trimmed to 22 when the teams are finalised at 5pm on Friday.

Sunday’s match will give the football world a look at how two of the most talented young teams are progressing.
The two sides are level on points with seven wins each, but the fourth placed Magpies are still yet to lose to the fifth placed Giants after three meetings since the latter’s inception in 2012.

The match will also be Collingwood supporters’ first look at Heath Shaw in the orange and charcoal since he left the club in the Adams trade.
Shaw has only played three games at the home of football since playing the last of his 115 for Collingwood at the ground in the 2013 Elimination Final.
