Collingwood spearhead Travis Cloke was substituted out of Saturday's loss to West Coast after injuring his calf in the opening quarter.

Cloke left the field midway through the term and looked dejected as he went straight up the race for treatment to a suspected calf injury.

The Pies' left-footer didn't return and soon substitute Jarryd Blair entered the fray to kick Collingwood's first goal.

"Just talking to Trav a moment ago, he felt a bit of a pop, so it's likely to be a calf tear," coach Nathan Buckley said in his post-match media conference.

"But we'll scan it tomorrow (Sunday) or Monday and see where we go from there."
