The Magpie Radio season kicked off in style during the week with Tarkyn Lockyer and Jack Anthony special guests on the first edition of
The Squawk, then it was super fans Conno and Driver’s turn to take over the studio for the first Pie Night of the year.Magpie Radio can be streamed FREE on collingwoodfc.com.au and from next week a podcast feed will be available so you can listen whenever you like, wherever you like on your podcast client, like iTunes, or your portable mp3 player.
The Squawk
The Squawk is Magpie Radio’s official player show with two new players invited on as special guests each week throughout the season. The show consists of three exciting segments, giving listeners a fascinating insight into the opinions and lives of the players. The segments are:
- The thing about football – Players talk candidly about footy and life at the Lexus Centre
- It’s my life – Players discuss their lives away from football
- Magpie minds – Players test each other’s knowledge of the Collingwood Football Club with a quick quiz, then give listeners the chance to send in answers to questions and win great prizes.
Pie Night is the official fans’ show of Magpie Radio and the Collingwood Football Club. Super fans Conno and Driver give an unimpeded, completely parochial preview of the upcoming game, review the previous week’s result and discuss all the hot Collingwood issues – from the point of view of a completely one-eyed Magpie fan!
Both shows are not-to-be-missed for every true Collingwood supporter.
