The Collingwood Football Club would like to respond to questions and issues raised by members of the club in regards to the 2011 AFL Grand Final ticketing arrangements.

It’s important for our members to realise that the Grand Final is a designated state government major event which is run by the AFL in conjunction with Consumer Affairs Victoria.

All facets including ticketing are run by the AFL in conjunction with its ticketing agent Ticketek, who controls ticketing allocation.

Collingwood has no control over the position of seating allocated to members through the official AFL ballot.

To clear up all current enquiries the club has consulted with Ticketek for a breakdown of tickets allocated to Collingwood members so that it can provide transparency.

As a competing club Collingwood is allocated 12,500 tickets made up of premium, prime, standard, restricted view and standing room tickets.

Our Priority 1 members which includes Club 5 and Legend members were allocated 9881 tickets with the breakdown being:
·         6969 Premium/Prime tickets across levels N and M
·         139 Premium tickets on Level P
·         2773 Prime/Standard tickets on Level Q

Our Priority 2 members which includes Captains and Social Club members were allocated 2152 tickets with the breakdown being:
·         0 Premium/Prime tickets across levels N and M
·         0 Premium tickets on Level P
·         185 Standard tickets on Level Q
·         138 Restricted view tickets
·         1829 Standing room tickets

The club has followed up with Ticketek on queries of Priority 2 and 3 members receiving reserved seats in lower levels. This has been confirmed as categorically incorrect.

As per last year the club shares your frustration with the amount of tickets and the location of the seats made available to our members and are in ongoing discussions on your behalf with the AFL.
