Netball Australia has confirmed that after the Expression of Interest process, the Collingwood Football Club has been selected as a Preferred Bidder for a license in the new National Netball League (NNL) starting in 2017.
Netball Australia unveiled the new-look competition today, announcing that three additional teams would join the existing five ANZ Championship franchises in an Australian-only competition.
Collingwood has been elected by Netball Australia as a preferred bidder for one of the new teams.
The club will now enter into a period of negotiation with Netball Australia to take into consideration all aspects of the proposed licence agreement.
