Greater Western Sydney drafted the 20-year-old with selection No. 13 in the 2011 National Draft.
“I’m pretty sure half the Magpie members will have the No. 13 on their back because of Daisy Thomas so that’s handy,” Adams smiled. “It gives me a bit of a jump-start.”

“I spoke to Bucks and he asked me what number I wanted and I hadn’t really put too much thought into it.
“He asked me if I wanted No. 13 and said I could think about it but I said, no, I’m happy with that.
The No. 26 tradition continues.
“I was pretty stoked to get that number.”
Adams will continue the recent tradition of first-round selections wearing No. 13, joining Richard Cole (selection No. 11 in 2001) and Dale Thomas (selection No. 2 in 2005).
