The AFL has confirmed it has officially moved Collingwood's first match of the home and away season against Sydney to the SCG, after originally scheduling it at ANZ Stadium.
The move, made official less than a month out from the 26 Match start date, is a result of Sydney's decision to cease its deal with ANZ Stadium one year early, which will allow the club to play all its home games at the SCG henceforth.
Sydney's remaining ANZ Stadium games against Essendon in round seven and Carlton in round 18 will also be moved to the Swans' traditional home ground.
Collingwood has played at the SCG just twice since the turn of the century, falling eleven points short against the Swans in round 20 last year.
Further details regarding round one ticketing and membership will be communicated shortly.
