MCG training report
Collingwoodfc.com.au covered the main training session at the MCG on Wednesday
Collingwood held its main training session at the MCG on Wednesday morning in the lead-up to the preliminary final against Geelong.
Josh Fraser, Scott Pendlebury, Dayne Beams and Anthony Rocca all trained with the main group with all four players under an injury cloud this week.
The session was conducted for just over an hour with media allowed to capture the first 10 minutes.
Before the session commenced, assistant coach Blake Caracella commented on all four players possible inclusions this Saturday night.
Caracella on Pendlebury: "Obviously he broke his leg two weeks ago. He would be an outside chance to play. Fingers crossed he may be right but it’s a long shot."
Rocca: "He hurt his ankle a week ago now. I am not sure if he will train or not. He's probably not going to play this week, but in the grand final … depends who we play."
Fraser: "He is moving quite well and will be a chance this week no doubt."
Beams: "Tight calf last week but will train today so keep an eye on him."
The playing group will go through a final training session on Friday morning at Gosch’s Paddock. The session will run for around an hour and will be open to the public.
