Brodie Grundy's herculean effort in the ruck against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday has been recognised by the coaches.
Grundy polled seven votes in the AFL Coaches' Association Champion Player of the Year award after tallying 20 disposals, 45 hit-outs and two goals.
Jeremy Howe, Tom Phillips, Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom were the other Collingwood players to poll votes.
Giants midfielder Stephen Coniglio was the unanimous choice as best on ground.
