Levi Greenwood is back in the side. But is it as simple as sitting the highly-regarded tagger on Western Bulldogs ball magnet Jack Macrae?

Adam Treloar isn’t so sure.

The star Collingwood midfielder recognised while Macrae will require attention at Etihad Stadium on Friday night, it may not come from Greenwood.

“It’s death by a thousand cuts with Jack Macrae,” Treloar told Collingwood Media vodcast ‘Sports Galore’.

“The more he gets, the more he hurts you.

“Don’t be surprised if we send someone to him… but I think he (Greenwood) has gone back to play down in defence.”

LISTEN ON ITUNES: Tune in for weekly updates from Adam Treloar and Mark Allen.

Former Kangaroo Greenwood has been cruelled by injury in his time as a Magpie. He was restricted to eight games in his first year in Black and White in 2015, before finding consistency with 21 games in 2016 and 16 last season.

However his injury troubles returned with knee surgery in December, and a long rehab program following. The 29-year-old has played three VFL games in recent weeks as he’s returned to full fitness.

“It’s been a long road for him,” Treloar explained.

“He’s worked his absolute backside off to get where he is now. Six weeks ago, he was a chance to potentially not even play this year.

“It’s awesome for him to be back in the team.”

The topic was one of many discussed on an episode of Sports Galore with talking points ranging from the form of teammates to ridiculously named stadiums around the world.

Listen to the following in the module below:

Superstitions surrounding peas and corn (3:45):
Treloar: “I swear I’ve had it for almost six years… You can’t even tell what type of peas and corn it was, because there’s no branding on it (anymore).”

Matt Scharenberg’s outstanding form (16:30):
“He’s showing his talent and how good he can be for us. He’s an absolute star. He’s probably the most courageous bloke in our team.”
