A seven goal opening quarter helped Carlton create a gap that Collingwood was never able to bridge in the third round blockbuster.

The Magpies eventually lost by 60-points, with Steele Sidebottom the only multiple goal scorer with two.

Heath Shaw brought the fans to their feet in the third quarter when he held this unlikely grab over Marc Murphy.



Ben Reid donned every footballer's most dreaded piece of apparel - the red vest. He was substituted out of the game with a leg injury at quarter time.



In the end, we just came up short.



No one ever enjoys a loss to Carlton.
