Last year when we played against St Kilda in round four and the Adelaide Crows in round 19 we handed over the keys to the official @collingwoodfc Twitter account.

And you guys absolutely LOVED it.

The hashtag #socialPIES received millions upon millions of impressions as fans took over our Twitter feed with commentary, photos, GIFs and everything in between.

The same will be happening again on Sunday afternoon when we take on the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.

From the first bounce to the final siren, the Collingwood social media team will simply sit back and press retweet to the most insightful and creative posts about the game.

Remember… Sunday’s clash with the Lions is only being broadcast on Fox Footy. If you don’t have pay TV, make sure you get to the pub, or buddy up with someone who has Foxtel!

And that’s not all.

To celebrate the army of almost 700,000 who follow the Collingwood Football Club on social media, we’ll have a number of new and exciting things popping up online during the week.

On Wednesday we’re launching #WallpaperWednesdays. Via our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Story, you’ll have the choice of four wallpapers to save and use as your phone background. Save them, share them and proudly display them.

We’re also on the hunt for the most tattooed Collingwood supporter. After stumbling upon this English soccer fan below, we’re sure there’s a Magpie equivalent out there.
