Collingwood will look to get its VFL season back on track this weekend against Sandringham.
The Magpies endured a difficult opening month to the season, picking up just one win prior to last week’s bye.
The Pies sit in 13th spot on the VFL ladder, and will be seeking a quick reversal of form to once again challenge the top-eight.
Collingwood hasn’t missed the VFL finals since 2012.
Sandringham comes to Victoria Park on Sunday on an even keel, with a 2-2 record through the first five rounds. Both of the Zebras’ wins have come at home.
The Zebras escaped with a two-point win over Frankston at RSEA Park last week.
The win was notable for the fact that Sandringham kicked all its 11 of its goals at one end – going goalless in the second and fourth quarters.
The Pies can expect some relief on the injury front in the coming weeks. Brayden Sier is expected to resume from his toe injury. Defenders Flynn Appleby, Tyler Brown and Nathan Murphy are all expected back within the next fortnight.
Round six of the VFL will be Beyond Blue Round. AFL Victoria has partnered with Beyond Blue to encourage the football community to engage in conversations about their and their peers’ mental health.
