Collingwood’s VFLW side will return to Victoria Park for its final home game of the season when it takes on Essendon this Saturday.
The Magpies will be in search of their twelfth straight win and will hope to secure their top position on the ladder.
However, the Pies will be without some key members of its side with several AFLW stars to be rested. This is a great opportunity for the younger players to step up and further develop ahead of the finals series.
Injected into the Pies’ forward line is Ally Bild alongside Rebecca Grant who will also make her long awaited season debut having been sidelined with a stress fracture in her foot.
Gemma Proy and Kate Dudley will also be added to the line-up.
Despite a bye in round 14, the Pies ran out for an invitational match against the GWS Giants where they managed to claim a 13-point victory last Sunday.
Essendon currently sits in 10th position on the ladder after suffering a thrashing 44-point loss to the Western Bulldogs last weekend.
The Pies and Dons last met was back in round nine where the visitors walked away 20-point victors at Windy Hill.
