Collingwood’s VFLW side has made history recording the club’s first ever women’s football premiership having secured a 37-point win over the Western Bulldogs at Ikon Park on Sunday.
Having finished the season on top of the ladder, the Pies were tough and physical in the Grand Final fight against the Dogs that was vital to their 7.10 (52) to 2.3 (15) victory.
Jaimee Lambert was her usual self, booting two goals late in the opening term before making a move into the midfield.
Topping off her already outstanding season, Stacey Livingstone was dangerous in defence taking several crucial intercept marks that saw her go on to be awarded the Lisa Hardeman Medal for best on ground.
While the two sides were only separated by five points at half time, the third term was where the damage was done.
Chloe Molloy slotted her first of the day before Sophie Alexander claimed two majors late in the term to see the Pies’ take a three-goal lead heading into the final term.

Gemma Lagioia was great in attack, even managing to get a major on the board in the last quarter.
Securing the Pies' final goal for the day, 18-year-old Mikala Cann was crowned a back-to-back premiership player having been a member of Hawthorn’s premiership side last season.
