Collingwood’s AFLW Head of High-Performance Mathew Pell has provided an injury and health update ahead of the Magpies’ Week Six AFLW match against Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Mikala Cann

Mikala Cann suffered a knock to her shoulder during the third quarter of the Pies' Week Five clash against the Gold Coast SUNS last Friday.

The 23-year-old was sidelined for the remainder of the match. However, scans cleared her of any serious injury and she is set to be available for Saturday’s game.

Brittany Bonnici

Collingwood’s Vice-Captain Brittany Bonnici is progressing well after sustaining a knock to her shoulder during the Pies' Week Five match against the Gold Coast SUNS. The Pies Vice-Captain managed to play out the remainder of the match. 

The 27-year-old will need to complete contact training this week to determine her availability for Saturday’s game. 

Lauren Butler

Lauren Butler is progressing well in her recovery from a hamstring strain.

The 23-year-old has focused on building her training loads over the past week. She will be assessed ahead of the Pies' Week Six match against Richmond.

Brianna Davey

Collingwood’s AFLW Captain Brianna Davey continues to progress through the AFL’s concussion protocols.

The 28-year-old will be assessed ahead of the Pies' Week Six match against Richmond on Saturday afternoon.

Imogen Evans

Imogen Evans is progressing well following a hamstring strain.

The 20-year-old has returned to full training and will be assessed to determine her availability for Saturday’s game.

Amber Schutte

Amber Schutte is progressing through the AFL’s concussion protocols.

The defender will be assessed ahead of the Pies' Week Six match on Saturday afternoon.

Grace Campbell will be sidelined from Saturday’s match against Richmond.

Coming off the condensed fixture period, the 28-year-old has pulled up with some hip soreness and will be managed for this weekend’s match.

She is expected to return for the Pies' Round Seven match against Port Adelaide.

Nell Dalton-Morris

Nell Dalton-Morris is making positive strides in her recovery from a lumbar stress fracture in her back that developed during the pre-season.

The 23-year-old has started the part of her second recovery phase and is expected to commence light training in the upcoming weeks.

Selena Karlson

Defender Selena Karlson has experienced some shin soreness.

The 26-year-old will commence a de-load period and will track to return within one to two weeks.

Kalinda Howarth

Kalinda Howarth’s return to footy has been slightly pushed back after recently suffering illness.

The 25-year-old continues to work through her ACL recovery and is expected to return within five to seven weeks.

Mikayla Hyde

Mikayla Hyde continues to progress positively in her recovery from a foot injury.

The defender will begin participating in skill drills this week.

The 22-year-old is expected to return within four to six weeks.

Annie Lee

Annie Lee is progressing well following her successful knee surgery.

She’ll remain non-weight bearing for six weeks before commencing a rehab program.

The 21-year-old will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2024 NAB AFLW season.
