Collingwood’s General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger has provided an injury and health update ahead of the Magpies’ Week Two match against Hawthorn this Saturday afternoon.

Brianna Davey

Brianna Davey has progressed well in her recovery from an ankle injury.

The midfielder will return to full training this week and if she successfully completes training, she will be available for this Saturday’s game against the Hawks.

Other Updates:

Muireann Atkinson

Muireann Atkinson has entered the AFL concussion protocols following a head clash during the AFLW season opener against the Swans on Friday night.

The defender is asymptomatic and has completed some light exercises.

The 27-year-old will continue to work through the concussion protocols but will be unavailable for this Saturday’s game.

Lauren Butler

Lauren Butler has successfully completed her rehab for a calf injury.  

The 23-year-old will begin modified team training this week to build her training loads.

She is set to be sidelined for one to two weeks.

Kalinda Howarth

Kalinda Howarth is progressing well in her ACL recovery.

The forward is moving into the final stages of her rehab journey and is expected to start contact training this week.

The 25-year-old will look to make a return to the field in eight to 12 weeks.

Mikayla Hyde

After undergoing surgery on her foot during the pre-season, Mikayla Hyde has returned to light running last week and will look to increase her running loads over the next week.

The 21-year-old is expected to return to the field at the back end of the season.

Charlotte Taylor

Charlotte Taylor continues to work on her recovery from a foot injury.

The 20-year-old is gradually increasing her training loads to strengthen her foot.

She is set to return to the field in two to three weeks.
