In an exciting day for the Club, Collingwood veterans Scott Pendlebury, Steele Sidebottom, Jeremy Howe and Will Hoskin-Elliott have committed to the black and white.

The four show no signs of slowing down all signing contract extensions for 2025.

Amongst the quartet lies a total of 1,210 games and 62 seasons of AFL experience.

Pendlebury will put on the black and white stripes for an impressive 20th AFL season in 2025, while Sidebottom will embark on his 17th year in the game.

Howe will suit up for his 15th year and Hoskin-Elliott for his 14th.

Having begun their careers at Collingwood, Pendlebury and Sidebottom are not only two-time Premiership players (2010 and 2023) but the pair also hold second place for most games played together as teammates (305 games).

In the final game of the home-and-away season, Pendlebury equalled Kevin Bartlett in fourth place for most VFL / AFL games played.  Captain of the Club on 206 occasions across nine seasons, Pendlebury has achieved an abundance of accolades including six All-Australian blazers, a five-time E.W Copeland Trophy winner and currently holds the record for the most disposals in the league (10,278).

Drafted to Collingwood with pick 11 in the 2008 AFL Draft, Sidebottom went on to win back-to-back E.W Copeland Trophies (2017, 2018) and was named an All Australian (2018).

With 331 games to his name, Sidebottom is only one of four Collingwood players to reach the 300-game milestone.

Not only is Howe a reliable force in the backline, but his leadership has been pivotal for the program having served as Vice-Captain over the last seven seasons.

The 2023 Premiership Player celebrated his 250th game in the Pies’ Round 22 match against Sydney this season.

Following four seasons at the GWS Giants, Hoskin-Elliott was traded to Collingwood and the end of the 2016 season.

Also a 2023 Premiership player, Hoskin-Elliott is a valued utility and has had one of his best seasons to date in 2024, fulfilling roles across the forward line, wing and at half-back.

Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch said:

“We’re pleased to have Scott, Steele, Jeremy and Will sign on for another season in the black and white,” said Leppitsch.

“All four are highly valued and play integral roles for our program both on and off the field.

“Their leadership and experience are invaluable to our environment and each of them play a key role in educating and guiding our next generation of young talent.

“We are sure the Magpie Army are looking forward to seeing them in action in 2025.”
