Collingwood's football department held Wednesday's recovery and touch session at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre in Albert Park.

The majority of the playing group worked through several drills using footballs under the instruction of the assistant coaches.

The players were divided in their divisions with the forwards, midfielders and defenders working out for one hour.

The fitness staff then took over and conducted a recovery session in the indoor pool.

What the players said on Twitter
@harry_o: We spent the morning at MSAC. Good change up in environment to keep us mentally fresh (O'Brien).

@bigdyman: Had to swim 300 meters in the pool today....nearly passed out from exhaustion n was dizzy as hell!!! I was not made to swim... (McNamara).

Defender Alan Toovey spoke to the media after the session about the team's strategy with the loss of key forward Chris Dawes and upcoming opponent North Melbourne.
