After the first week of league competition, it’s now getting to the serious portion of the season.

By now you should have a fair understanding of your side’s biggest deficiencies, players you need to upgrade and keepers for the year.

The Collingwood list has a mix of cash cows, players to keep your eye on and potential breakouts.

Cash cows

How good was Jaxson Barham’s Rising Star performance?  Priced at a bargain basement $86,600 the son of club champion Rickey, needs to be considered.  With many rookies levelling off in price, Barham could be a wonderful addition to your side.

If you haven’t picked up Dayne Beams yet, you still have time.  The midfielder’s breakeven score is -22 which means he still has room to rise in value.  Lively forward Brad Dick is another player to look out for.  His first two games produced scores of 55 and 46 and if can get another one, his break even is -36 and will skyrocket in value.  Dick is coming off a four-goal haul against Williamstown in the VFL on the weekend and could be a chance this week having played in the 2007 ANZAC Day match.

Keep your eye on

Alan Didak hasn’t had a terrific DT start to the year and is expected to drop in value.  He needs to score a mammoth 174 to maintain his price.  Heath Shaw (162), Dane Swan (148) and Travis Cloke (131) will all drop in price over the next few weeks and could be a strong inclusion into your side later on.

Potential breakout

Scott Pendlebury has scored a mix bag from his first four rounds.  After notching a 119 from round one, two scores of 65 and 74 hurt his coaches.  Keep in mind the star midfielder was averaging 66% game time in round two and three and his score of 135 last week is a better indication of what he will do this year.

Good luck DTers and may your captain's score hit the ton mark this week.

Any trades planned this week?  Is Barham coming into your side?
