Football will return to Melbourne on Thursday night as Collingwood takes part in its annual intra-club game at the Holden Centre.

Those at the game will be able to watch the players put their summer’s toil to the test, the players will also be available to sign autographs around the boundary line following the conclusion of the match.

For the first time, fans now also have the option to watch the game from home, with Collingwood Media offering a live-stream through the club's website, mobile and smart phone applications.

Viewers will enjoy live match commentry and scores as well as interviews with players and officials throughout the night.

Teams

Collingwood White, led by Ben Hart, will take on Scott Burns Collingwood Black in Thursday’s pre-season intra-club match at the Holden Centre.

Scott Pendlebury, Taylor Adams and Jordan De Goey will headline a star-studded Black team midfield while Travis Cloke will join Steele Sidebottom and Dane Swan on the White team.

While fans will have no trouble recognising these familiar faces, a number of Magpies will wear the Black and White stripes for the first time.

James Aish, Tom Phillips, Josh Smith, Darrean Wyatt and Tim Golds will all make their Collingwood debuts, albeit against their new teammates.

Members and supporters are encouraged to watch the game live, with a match-day atmosphere ready and awaiting at the Holden Centre.

Alternatively, Collingwood Media will be live-streaming the match online and on your smart phone, with special guests including Neil Balme (pre-game), Jack Crisp (quarter time), Adam Treloar and Tyson Goldsack (both half time) joining commentators Nigel Carmody and Michael Leeds.

Activities

With off-field activations beginning at 6pm, the occasion marks the ideal opportunity for members and supporters to experience the club’s new Glasshouse facility.

The new Glasshouse Eatery will be open, serving a selection of pizzas, sandwiches and a barbeque, while a selection of food trucks will be available on site.

During breaks in the game there will also be face painting, giveaways, kids activities, membership and merchandise, so make sure you're there to soak up the full Collingwood experience!

The team from United Petroleum will also be on hand, allowing Collingwood members the chance to visit the marquee and sign up to receive their free United Club Rewards 4c discount card.

Those who sign up or show their existing card will receive a United football (while stocks last).

2016 Intra-Club Practice Match
Date:
Thursday 18 February
Event begins: 6.00pm
The match will begin at 7.15pm and feature two thirty-minute quarters, followed by two fifteen-minute quarters. For those who are keen to arrive early, the club’s VFL team will be training at Olympic Park from 5.30pm.

Autographs
Players will be available to sign autographs for fans around the boundary at the conclusion of the match. Signing times will be dependent on individual schedules and not all players may be available.

Food
The new Glasshouse Eatery will be open, serving a selection of pizzas, sandwiches and a barbeque. Food trucks on site will include Sliders on Tires, Pasta Face, Taco Truck, The Wicked Spud and Dutch Pancakes.

Social Club access
Social Club members have exclusive access to the Social Club Bar, located inside the Glasshouse. View the match from the comfort of the event space, where food and beverages will be available for purchase. 2016 Social Club membership cards must be shown for entry.

Parking
Limited parking is available over the river on Alexandra Avenue. There is also paid parking available in the Eastern Car Park Plaza next to Hisense Arena (Entrance D), however there are multiple events on in the precinct on this day so limited places remain for pre-booking only. All interstate fans or those who cannot attend the game now have the option of watching from home with live commentary, scores and interviews with players and officials.
