Collingwood forward Travis Cloke yesterday met with the club at his request.

Cloke did so proposing to work evenings with the Salvation Army in exchange for a suspension of his recent fine for a disciplinary lapse.

As a result, Collingwood has agreed to suspend the fine.

"As a senior player, I have to set an example. I recognise that and while I thought this was an in-house issue, it's blown up in public and I want to put it to bed," Cloke said.

At his insistence, details of Cloke's community service will not be discussed publicly.
