Collingwood honoured the late John McCarthy with a minute's silence ahead of Saturday night's Semi-Final against West Coast before going on to win the match by 13-points.

CTV has published a video capturing the most poignant moments of the night, including the minute's silence, tributes from players during the game and the emotional scenes after the match, including Dayne Beams' interview with Channel Seven's Cameron Ling.

Perhaps the most eerie and memorable statistic to arise from the weekend was the fact that Collingwood and Sorrento, McCarthy's junior club, both kicked 10.13 (73) to win their respective matches.

Just when you thought that was enough, Port Adelaide also kicked 10.13 (73) against Collingwood in round four - McCarthy's one and only game against his former side, and a game in which he registered an equal career-high 30 possessions.
