HotRod's hot potato... 'til death
One ugly man. Many ugly thoughts. Hottie's unhappy, but he's sticking by his team.
Or to put it another way...
SO COLD, SO VERY VERY COLD!
I feel a bit like Sir Paul McCartney this week dear Spudsters.
I’ve been screwed. It’s just not the way I imagined it would be.
It’s only taken four rounds for the honeymoon to be over.
But the harsh reality of the bumpy ride that lies ahead is as plain to see as
Camilla Parker-Bowles.
My 2008 Collingwood wedded bliss has been shattered!
That wasn’t the Collingwood I fell in love with in Round One on display last Sunday.
For the first time in our 2008 marriage I saw its ugly side.
And it was uglier than a car yard full of Volvos!
So I feel it’s appropriate that I follow the normal procedure for squabbling married
couples.
The Club and I aren’t talking to each other right now.
In fact the Club is sleeping on the couch.
Not since Sammy Hager joined Van Halen have I felt this let down.
You don’t need me to tell you the Pies were just horrible last week.
It was like ordering Peking Duck and being served lentils.
That twenty three points felt like a hundred and every one a dagger through our collective black ‘n’ white hearts.
I wanted Burns not to get burned!!!
But the truth is, despite spending the past seventy two hours walking around in a daze like some sort of footballing blonde, I’ve already forgiven the Club.
I love it warts and all.
And right now it’s got more warts than a witches shnoz.
I’m still not speaking to it though!
I’m holding out for Satdee night when I expect some seriously good ‘make up footy’.
And I mean SERIOUSLY GOOD.
Til death us do part Collingwood.
Til death us do part.
Now if you don’t mind I have to go rub some more petrol on my eyes.
I just can’t get the sight of Fevola skipping along the flank like it was Chapel Street on a Satdee nignt out of my head.
