People pay attention when a pair of AFL captains and two of the best footballers in the game clash after the final siren.
That’s why eyebrows were raised when Scott Pendlebury and Geelong’s Joel Selwood did just that in the middle of the MCG on Sunday afternoon.
Pendlebury had just completed one of his finest individual performances. Selwood had been tagged out of the game by a persistent Levi Greenwood.
Emotions were no doubt running high, and the pair exchanged words.
