Wear it Purple Day celebrates young people from the LGBTQIA+ community, and strives to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments for rainbow young people.

Collingwood staff and players are taking part by wearing purple to show their support.

Celebrating Wear it Purple Day is a simple step that supports staff and players within the community and creates an inclusive environment.

Supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is not just a game day activity. It is the club’s intention to ‘build the black and white rainbow’ and start building steps towards activating a pride program with our Community Partner - Stand Up Events.

With our AFLW and SSN Pride Round celebrations and Pride Festival activation, Collingwood continues to work towards an inclusive environment for all.

Collingwood's AFLW will celebrate Pride Round in this upcoming season in Round 9 against North Melbourne at Victoria Park.
