Full forward Travis Cloke spoke to CTV’s Glen Moriarty after kicking a bag of five goals for the tenth time in his career in Collingwood’s 41-point win over Carlton.
The 26-year-old took control of the game in a new-look forward line that comprised All-Australian defender and fourth gamer Jarrod Witts.
Cloke said that the hype that surrounds a Collingwood-Carlton match was felt by the players in the heat of the battle.
“The crowd was obviously emotionally involved. It was lovely to see the crowd up and about and obviously the boys kicked some goals and got a nice win too,” he told CTV.

“It’s nice to get a good win and put it behind us. We put probably three quarters of footy together – it’s not the perfect game but we’re working towards getting there.
Cloke, who now shares the lead of the Coleman Medal with West Coast’s Josh Kennedy, said that coach Nathan Buckley was very enthusiastic about his side’s response to last week’s loss against Port Adelaide.
“(He was) very positive,” said Cloke.
“He set goals before the game and we achieved them. We probably fell away in the 10 minutes at the start of the game and in the last 10 minutes of the game but all in all he’s very positive and very happy with the game. We’ll sit down on Monday and go through it.
“He’s a pretty happy man.”
