Collingwood's players returned to the Southport Sharks Football Club on Wednesday morning for another pre-season training session.
Match simulation was once again be the order of the day, after a scratch match on Monday which assistant coach Robert Harvey described as the biggest block of competitive work the group has done this pre-season.
Recap all the action from the session in the sun below.

Ready to roll in front of our dedicated Queensland fans. If you’re in the area, there’s still plenty of time to come watch us in action at @SouthportSharks. #FOREVER pic.twitter.com/mSckOArHlZ

Match simulation is the first order of the day on the Gold Coast. Brenton Sanderson tells his group: “We’re going to play to the umpire’s whistle boys. Give it all you’ve got.” #FOREVER pic.twitter.com/CxvzWojYQV

9:50am
Players have returned to the field and are slowly taking a warm-up lap around the oval. They stop in the goal-square at the Musgrave Avenue end of the ground and jog on the spot. "One, two, three, four" the players scream in unison as they progressively speed up. "One, two, three, four, five!" The group cheers and run towards the middle of the ground.
10:00am
Players are split into three divisional groups. Lynden Dunn's voice can be heard booming from the defensive unit.
10:10am
Three divisional groups turn into two evenly split teams. Brenton Sanderson takes the 'pink' group, while incoming assistant Garry Hocking directs those in black.
Both teams are practicing set plays from the kick-in. Adam Oxley and Darcy Moore are the men tasked with taking kick-ins for the pink team.

10:30am
Contested play is beginning from the kick-in at the Musgrave Avenue end of the ground. Flynn Appleby's voice is one which cuts through the rest of the group. Talk is high from all players, but to see a young rookie embracing the energy is exciting.

10:45am
Travis Varcoe is taking shots on goal at any chance he can get. It comes after Varcoe told Collingwood Media on Tuesday he would be spending more time as a forward in 2018. While the goals are familiar to Varcoe, he hasn't spent much time in front of them in recent years. The former Cat kicked over a goal per game in his last three years at Geelong.
10:50am
Match simulation has finished and goal-kicking practice begins. "Get a partner and make it a competition," yells Brenton Sanderson as each member of the group lines up in front of the big sticks.

Never. In. Doubt.
