Cox is still a big game specialist
The Texan produced a stunning third quarter display that rivalled his all-time performance against Richmond in the 2018 prelim final. He finished with 21 disposals, eight marks, five intercepts, a running goal and six score involvements. "He's been really important for us in the past month," Craig McRae said post-match. "I do believe he is a better ruck-forward than he is a forward-ruck... that's his best position." He was named the Coaches' MVP.
Mihocek continues to deliver
Checkers was in doubt and barely trained in the lead up to Monday's game, after suffering bone bruising in his knee in round 12. He put his hand up for selection regardless and for the duration of the match he looked like a player at full fitness. He provided a target in attack all day and finished with four goals. He's among our most reliable.
Daicos a Rising Star favourite
Nick followed up a 36-disposal performance against Hawthorn with an even better showing against Melbourne. His stats speak for themselves - 33 disposals, nine intercepts, four score involvements and 429 metres gained.
Vintage display from Crisp
29 disposals, four marks, eight intercepts, six score involvements and a superb running goal - just a standard day at the office for Crispy. Another player who delivers every week, without fail.
Finals not a focus...yet
When asked if finals were on his mind with his side heading into the bye 8-5, McRae kept the lid firmly in place. "We are seeing that our best can be really competitive," he said. "I can see our players growing and believing in what we do. This game is pretty hard. (The bye round) is a chance to take a breath and reset. We have no idea where we sit in the big scheme of things."
