Last time we met

Collingwood 87 d Richmond 71 (Round 17, 2021)

Collingwood booted eight of the last nine goals in a stunning comeback win at the 'G. Trailing by 28 points halfway through the third term, the Pies dominated the last quarter - scoring nine times from 14 inside 50s. In the final term Collingwood won disposals by 96, marks by 58 and contested possessions by 24.

Key match-ups

Dustin Martin v Brayden Maynard

Martin will make his return in Saturday's clash and Bruz has been cleared to play after scans on his sore thumb/hand showed no damage. Martin remains one of Richmond's leading ball winners, averaging 21 disposals, seven inside 50s and six score involvements this season. Maynard has been reliable at half back and among Collingwood's best for clearing the ball out of our defensive half, averaging 333 metres gained.

Tom Lynch v Darcy Moore

Moore is averaging five spoils and two intercept marks a game this season and he grabbed a season-high five intercept marks last week against the Suns. He will likely battle it out with Lynch, who is averaging five marks and three goals a game.

Look out for

The number of individual goal kickers we will notch up this week. Collingwood had 10 different goal kickers against the Suns last round to put up the club's highest score for the season (and highest score since Round 20, 2019). The Pies have scored more than 100 points on three occasions this year.
