1. Accuracy in front of goal

Given the 61-42 advantage in inside 50s and final score of 10.14, it's clear efficiency in attack is an area for improvement. Collingwood had 16 inside 50s to the Eagles 11 in the final term but struggled to convert.

2. Learning how to win

In Craig McRae's own words: "We put ourselves in a position to get the job done and that's another week where all the numbers looked good but we just didn't get the result... We're learning how to win."

3. Daicos brothers

Nick and Josh gathered 32 and 28 disposals respectively on Saturday, with 10 and six score involvements each. Josh is in career best form and kicked a Daicosian goal, while Nick has set the bar high in his first four games at the top level.

4. Defensive pressure

Collingwood made 68 tackles (27 more tackles than West Coast), with 13 of those inside 50. Our pressure never wavered for the duration of the game - the Eagles simply made shots on goal count, kicking only three behinds.

5. Maynard versatility

Brayden Maynard finished with 22 disposals, six inside 50s, three score involvements (including a goal) and nine intercepts. The established defender is making a case for more midfield minutes.
