The Collingwood Football Club can confirm that captain Scott Burns has withdrawn from Sunday’s team to play Carlton at the MCG.

Burns, who was due to become the 11th player in the history of Collingwood to play 250 games, pulled up with calf soreness from training on Saturday morning and as a result will not play against the Blues.

Burns’ replacement in the 22 is yet to be confirmed. Vice-captain Josh Fraser will lead the Magpies.
